Safety Tips

Your safety on Joya

In case of differences between translations, the German version shall prevail.

VYBs in public locations

VYBs always take place in public locations, in small groups of 3 to 6 people. This is intentional, so that meetups feel natural and safe from the start.

Public places, small groups

You are never meeting one person alone. Joya always brings you into a group. Meeting points are public, easy to find, and suggested by Joya.

If something does not feel right on location, the group can choose a different public place together.

Before the meetup

Take a quick look at where you are meeting. The suggested locations are public and you can check them on the map beforehand.

At the meetup

Trust your gut. You can leave at any time without having to explain yourself.

Share only what you want to share.

If something is wrong

Report inappropriate behaviour directly in the app or write to us at hello@joya.social.

In case of immediate danger, call emergency services.
